Introduction and summary

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student demonstrates an analytical understanding of the various knowledge-based theories and development models, and has advanced knowledge and understanding of the dynamics and challenges of institutional change related to economic development of cities and regions. The student also has insight in the complex interaction between innovation, technology, institutions and economic development of cities and regions. The student also learns how institutions governing economic development change.

Assignment

Work for the class includes participating in on-campus sessions, following the online lectures,  independent reading and writing a learning diary

The required minimum length of diaries is 3200 words (appr. 8-10 pages)

Diaries will be sent to Markku Sotarauta by email in pdf-format (please add your name)
